The City of Los Altos is requesting CERT volunteer support as well as ham support for the Nov 26, 2023 Festival of Lights Parade. Each CERT will be teamed with a ham to provide additional eyes & ears for the event and respond (within their training, capabilities and scene safety) to an incident until professional responders (SCCFD and LAPD) can take over. Volunteer CERTs will receive day-of swearing in for DSW coverage. You will need your vest and ID badge, but no helmet or backpack. Time requirement will be about 3.5 hrs (4:00-7:30 pm). More detailed information will be provided to volunteers.
